Gucci's StoryGucci was my heart dog.I met him on a day in May 2014, shortly after losing my Cocker Spaniel Freckles at 13 years old. Gucci lived a life full of love, and gave that love ten-fold wherever and whenever he could.
The day I met him, he was set to be euthanized as his owner could not take care of him, and he was very sick. He was diagnosed with Protein Losing Enteropathy - a condition where he was constantly losing protein, and when uncontrolled, would lead to diarrhea, and ascites (fluid) in his belly particularly.
As years went by, he suffered from an onslaught of issues - he had a stroke that left him paralyzed at home point and was brought back to life and able to walk with medications and love.Gucci would not have lived as long as he did if I was a person just like his first mom, who did not have the connections I currently do, and the knowledge I do.
Gucci's Promise
The aim for Gucci's Promise is to bring relief to pet owners who find themselves in a situation where they are struggling with taking care of their furry friends when it comes to emergency & specialty visits.Through fundraising, we will try to bring down the number of euthanasias due to economic reasons.
